"Every Haunting Has a Reason"
When a horror novelist moves into the haunted Fortune Mansion to seek “real inspiration,” she finds more than just ghost stories — including a cynical security guard, a fake exorcist, and restless spirits with unfinished business.
What begins as research soon turns into a haunting she can’t write her way out of.
Director's Statement
3 Doors of Horrors: Fortune Mansion began as an extension of my earlier live-action web series but soon became a personal rediscovery. After over 20 years in filmmaking, I turned to animation seeking new ways to tell stories—and to reconnect with why I started telling them in the first place.
Through Fortune Mansion, I wanted to blend horror, humour, and heart. It’s inspired by local urban legends, yet it isn’t about fear—it’s about the people behind the hauntings and the emotions that linger. Using Unreal Engine gave me the freedom to build a world where imagination sets the rules, not production limits.
Ultimately, Fortune Mansion is both an experiment and a love letter—to the joy of creating, to the strange comfort of ghost stories, and to the idea that even after decades, there are still new ways to be haunted.
