How to Really Watch Films, James Lee at TEDxKL 2015

When filmmaker James Lee talks about his craft, he does not always just talk about the art and science of making films. Sometimes he talks about how to watch them too.

Lee spoke at the TEDxKL event today and urged the audience to take on a more active role when consuming media, be it short films, movies or random Youtube videos.

“That’s why when we consume media, we should bring our own experience and knowledge and not shut down and hope it just gives you entertainment so you can fill in the blanks that we leave out,” said Lee, an award-winning film director and writer.
